Drake’s father, Dennis Graham, says he is no longer battling cancer following recent revelations made by his son in a newly released track.
Drake has recently been trending online after releasing three new albums including songs that reference his father’s past health struggles.
In the track “Make Them Cry” from the project Iceman, Drake raps:
“My dad got cancer right now, we battlin’ stages / Trust me when I say there’s plenty things that I’d rather be facin’.”
According to TMZ, Dennis Graham clarified that he battled lung cancer some time ago but recently received news that he is now cancer-free, describing the recovery as a miracle.
He also shared that he is doing well and has reduced his smoking habits, while thanking fans and supporters for their concern and prayers.
Aside from the emotional revelations, Drake’s latest releases have also sparked conversation online because of several lyrics perceived as shots directed at artists such as DJ Khaled and A$AP Rocky, along with other figures in the music industry. The tracks are currently generating heavy discussion across social media platforms.
