Outspoken activist and poet Ntsiki Mazwai has encouraged citizens to take reliable measures following Malaria outbreak in Gauteng.
The Malaria outbreak hit Gauteng as stats show over 600 cases and 11 deaths, citizens were advised to go to hospital when they noticed symptoms.
Ntsiki has warned citizens to follow health protocols and ignore critics myth that the virus brought by foreigners.
“Please note: There is a malaria outbreak in Gauteng. Any sign of fever, go straight to the doctor. Malaria is spread by mosquitoes that carry the virus. And not by foreign nationals, as some idiots are saying.”
Her thoughts devicdes social media users, some agreed with her while other point finger to their government, suggesting that they fail to control the border, which turn into outbreak.
“You are ignorant, it could be due to uncontrolled borders where people are not thoroughly assessed. Sometimes you don’t apply yourself.”
