AmaZulu coach Arthur Zwane has labelled Orlando Pirates are the best team in South Africa following their 3-0 loss.
Pirates are currently leading the race of Betway Premiership by two points, while Mamelodi Sundowns follow with an advantage of two matches in their hand.
“I think we should have scored first. We had a chance to get a goal early in the game,” said the former Kaizer Chiefs defender.
“Playing against a team of Orlando Pirates’ calibre, they’re a difficult team to play against. They have so much quality in their squad.
“We needed to absorb the pressure and wait for the right moment, but the quality is not the same as what they have,” he added.
“As I said, playing against a top-quality side – to me, they are the best team in the country,” he continued.
“I’ve never been exposed like this this season against any of the teams we’ve played. So yes, I give credit to them.
“They did a good job. Ours is to forget about this result and focus on the next game,” Zwane concluded.
Orlando Pirates are about to face Kaizer Chiefs this weekend, the results might decide their fate but all will also depend with what Masandawana gets in coming matches.
