Real Madrid and Brazil forward Endrick has expressed concerns about the realities of professional football, stating that he would prefer his son not to follow the same path.
The 19-year-old forward is currently at Olympique Lyonnais, having reportedly joined the French side on loan after struggling to secure a place in the starting eleven at Real Madrid.
At such a young age, Endrick appears to have developed a tough view of the game, describing football as a harsh environment and “not a nice place,” which is why he would not want his son to become a footballer.
During his time at Real Madrid, Endrick spent many minutes on the bench, with his opportunities limited by competition from players such as Kylian Mbappé and Gonzalo.
The Brazilian forward now seems unlikely to feature prominently in Real Madrid’s future plans, as the club continues to place its trust in established stars like Mbappé.
During his spell at Lyon, Endrick has been impressive, contributing to 11 goals — 5 goals +6 assists, in 15 matches across Ligue 1 and the Europa League.
It remains unclear whether Real Madrid will retain the player or allow him to move on permanently, as the presence of top attackers continues to limit his chances of regular playing time.
