Kaizer Chiefs former player Tsepo Masilela has joined Orlando Pirates coach, slamming the Amakhosi of celebrating a draw.

Masilela belives that the recent Soweto derby has exposed Kaizer Chiefs tactically, showing a gap between them.

While co-coaches Khalil Ben Youssef and Cedric Kaze earned praise from some supporters for prioritising stability, Masilela believes the approach ultimately highlighted the gap between the two sides.

“It shows that the gap between the two is huge. We are playing for a draw,” Masilela said on Soccerbeat.

“My question is, is it sustainable? Can we go into next season with the same coach and the same squad and compete for the league?

“I don’t think that can happen because the approach alone shows the gap, being scared of Pirates and being afraid of losing.”

Masilela believes Kaizer were on advantage of winning the game, as he suggesting that attackers Mduduzi Shabalala and Flavio Silva should have started.

“When you looked at the team sheet, it told you everything, we were playing not to lose. How do you bench players like Flavio and Mdu? Those guys are a real threat going forward,” he added.

Despite of sharing 1 point against their opponent, Chiefs already faced a wrath of their opponent when they lost 3-0 this season.
