Puso Dithejane has completed his move to MLS Chicago Fire after snubbing Mamelodi Sundwons and Kaizer Chiefs.

Both Masandawaa and Amakhosi tried their best to get the 21-year-old from TS Galaxy, but they’re both offers rejected as player switch to MLS.

“In welcoming Puso to Chicago, we’re adding one of South Africa’s best young, attacking players to our team,” said Chicago Fire FC Director of Football and head coach Gregg Berhalter. “His dynamic energy will add depth to our squad this season, while also setting the foundation for him to continue developing and strengthening the team for many seasons to come.”

Puso Dithejane has left TS Galaxy to join Chicago Fire, becoming the second South African player at the MLS club following former Orlando Pirates defender Mbokazi.

The 21-year-old former Kaizer Chiefs development player had been linked with moves back to Chiefs, as well as with Mamelodi Sundowns, but has opted to take his talents abroad early in his career.
