Dani Olmo set to miss three-week over injury

Dani Olmo will be out for three weeks after getting a right adductor injury during their match against Osasuna, Barcelona confirm.

Barcelona attacking midfielder is once again will be after injury for second times since he joined the club.

Dani Olmo left the pitch frustrated but thankful for the standing ovation from the Estadi Lluís Companys crowd.

Another setback for the Spanish international who is suffering his third injury of the season, preventing him from playing regularly on his return to Barcelona. He has already missed 13 games through injury this season.

Coach Hansi Flick also showed frustration, as seen on camera, lamenting the injury to his player, who had played 84 minutes on Sunday against the Netherlands in Spain’s second game during the last international break.

Barcelona had to play the match without Raphinha, who played for Brazil against Argentina on Tuesday, while Ronald Araujo made the bench after returning from Uruguay duty late on Wednesday.

The match itself, meanwhile, was the first of seven that the league leaders will play in the space of 20 days and Flick thinks that the bloated calendar is ruining the spectacle of the sport.
