A young man stabbed to death over Soweto derby match results

The Police of boshof are investigating the murder of Tumelo Nyamela (26) who was stabbed to death over a derby match between Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs.
The incident happened in the Sonnerwater kasi in Boshof on Sunday, a day after the big game. According to Daily Sun
According to Tumelo’s family, the suspect was not happy when their son teased him about the defeat of his favourite team, Chiefs.
Tumelo’s mum, Mamona (58) said: “My son was a loving person who enjoyed making jokes
“His death has affected the family badly.
“We still cannot believe that he is no more.
“What hurt me most is that after the incident the man tried to hide my son’s body under his bed.
“The argument started when Chiefs lost to Pirates and the suspect left the place where they had been watching the game together.
“The man was very angry when he left.”
“When they came back they were in the storeroom, and while they were drinking the man asked my son why he had teased him about the loss by his team.
“An argument broke out and that is when my son was stabbed to death. When we arrived at the scene there was blood all over the room,” Mamona said
“What happened to my son is very sad. I will miss him deeply.”
