Tanzania confirms first coronavirus case in Arusha
The ministry of health in Tanzania has confirmed its first coronavirus case from a woman who arrived in country in March 15 from Belgium.
According to reports, 16-year-old woman arrived in Tanzania at Kilimanjaro International Airport ( KIA ), the thermos scanner did not detect any high temperature.
The patient left the country on March 3, she visited Sweden and Germany before she went back to Belgium and returned to Tanzania on March 15.
TZ health minister, Ummy Mwalimu, said the patient is in self isolation at Mount Meru hospital after being tested positive.
TZ is the forth country in East Africa to confirm spreading of COVID-19 as approximated 6000 passed away worldwide while more than 153,000 tested positive for dangerous bug.
