‘Robertinho’ Removes Fear from Simba Fans Says Victory Is Necessary
The head coach of Simba, Roberto Oliveira ‘Robertinho’ has removed the fear of the fans of the team and said that his team will enter with a different approach to face their opponents, Raja Casablanca because they need a win.
Robertinho said that the type of playing away from home is very different, so they are prepared to attack more.
The coach wants to see his young players play at a high speed for the whole 90 minutes to make sure they keep the three points at home.
He explained that when they played against Horoya AC, he asked the players to defend themselves and attack a little and after conceding the only goal in the game, they opened up by attacking the hosts in order to find an equalizer.
“I have planned to make improvements to the attacking line led by Moses Phiri, John Bocco, Jean Baleke, Pape Sakho, Clatous Chama and Kibu Denis to ensure that we get a lot of victories at home. I want to see my players attack our opponent’s goal more often, meaning from the first minute to the 90th, every home game,” said Robertinho.
He said that at the stage they reached in the competition, every team should fight to win at home and seek a draw away from home.
“We need a winning result in the game against Raja Casablanca, to get that result we will have to enter with a different approach than we entered in the last match,” said Robertinho.
Towards the match against Raja Casablanca, Simba’s Information and Communication Department Manager Ahmed Ally said they will enter the match cautiously, although he does not believe that their opponents will change the system they are used to playing.
“Caution is important, the game is difficult, but we are going to look for good results, we know that football in Africa has changed, but the North African teams that we call Arab until today have not changed their playing system, they still largely rely on winning on the pitches their home team, Al Ahly, with all his quality, you can’t see his 100 percent quality when they are away, maybe if he has been closed earlier, then you see him start to tear up and send us away.
If he returns the goal, he goes back to his kind of slow play and wastes time, the match he depends on is the one at home. The same goes for Raja Casablanca, we don’t expect if he can come here and play as fast as he plays for them, but whatever happens, we Simba are determined as it is. let’s get three points,” said Ahmed.
Simba, which is in Group C, is going to play the match with the memory of a 1-0 away loss against Horoya of Guinea, while the leaders of the group will enter the field with the memory of beating Vipers SC of Uganda 5-0.
