Mrundi Gael Bigirimana has Breaks Contract with Yanga

IMMEDIATELY after reaching a good agreement to break the contract with his Yanga team, Mrundi midfielder Gael Bigirimana has agreed to end it and on Monday afternoon he boarded a plane to return to his home in Burundi.

That is after reaching a good bilateral agreement between the player and his former Yanga team that agreed to pay Shs 700Mil in three installments.

Yanga has agreed to terminate the one and a half year contract with the midfielder who once played for Newcastle in England.

Speaking to Championi on Wednesday, Bigirimana said that he left peacefully after both parties reached a good agreement to terminate his contract.

Bigirimana said that he has returned to his home in Burundi to organize himself and start a new life and challenge there.

He added by wishing his old team all the best, including fighting to defend all the titles of the last season as well as reaching far internationally.

“Yesterday (the other day) I started my journey back home to Burundi ready to start a new life outside of Yanga after staying for a short time.

“And I have left Yanga after reaching a good agreement with my employers with whom I have broken a one and a half year contract.

“I left believing that one day I will return to play for Yanga after meeting challenges during my time there,” said Bigirimana.
