Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus continues to recover at home after undergoing knee surgery on Tuesday.

Jesus was forced to withdraw from the ongoing World Cup in Qatar after suffering a serious knee injury during Brazil’s match against Cameroon on Friday last week.

Following the injury, the Brazilian national team player traveled to London where he underwent knee surgery.

“Gabby will now begin his treatment program. Everyone at the club supports Gabby and we are working hard to get him back on the field as soon as possible,” Arsenal Club said in a statement.

On Wednesday, the attacker issued a statement and confirmed that he has been allowed to go home after surgery.

“It’s time to go home,” he said via his social media pages.

Jesus attached the message with video images that showed him walking with the help of crutches. In the picture, he had a plaster cast on his right leg which was operated upon following an injury.

In another video that he posted on Thursday, the attacker was seen relaxing at home with his daughter.

After getting injured, Jesus made a statement thanking the people who took the step of comforting him with messages.

“If there was a schedule and I could see you and tell you something, I would say “Gabriel, you are a winner”. Thank you to everyone who sent messages of support and love. 🙌🏾🙏🏾,” he wrote under a photo of himself as a child.

The Arsenal club that leads the EPL table is now expected to miss the services of Jesus for about three months. Following that, the pressure has continued to increase on coach Mikel Arteta to sign a new striker
