Thomas Tuchel sacked by Paris Saint-Germain

PSG’s boss Thomas Tuchel has been sacked by the club, just four months later after taking them to the Champions League final.

PSG is expecting to face Barcelona in the last 16 UEFA League competition next year.

In French league, the team is in third position behind Lyon while struggling in their previous matches which cost Thomas Tuchel job.

The German replaced Unai Emery on a two-year contract in June 2018, and signed an extension last May which would have seen him stay in Paris until the end of the current campaign.

The club has not yet announces the new coach, but Euro papers have already suggested that Mauricio Pochettino could be his successor.

German spend some couple years in French club, but it seems he failed to meet the club expectations, as they are looking struggle to compete with other great teams.

Pochettino is likely the only contender for taking PSG job after spent five-and-a-half years at Spurs, leading them to the Champions League final, League Cup final, and two FA Cup semi-finals, as well as four top-four finishes in the Premier League, before being sacked in November 2019.
