Serial rapist jailed for 14 years for using snake to torture women

John Dickson, a serial rapist who raped one woman more than 1,000 times and tortured another with his 9ft-long boa constrictor has been jailed for 14 years.

According to Mirror, John Dickson, 38, from North Lankarshire, Scotland, accused by 4 victims for domestic abuse and rape crime.

One victim was so terrified of getting another beating that police found her clutching a knife and cowering in a storage cupboard near the monster’s flat.

He carried out his reign of terror on the four women between 2000 and 2017, mainly at addresses in Motherwell.

Dickson also repeatedly raped his second victim and used the snake to torture her.

The traumatised woman said she was “terrified” when he threw the boa constrictor on her.

She added that the sex attacks happened so regularly – sometimes when she was asleep – that they ended up feeling “normal”.

Dickson raped her in the toilet of a train travelling to Edinburgh.

He carried out a similar attack at his sister’s house.

Two other women were also victims of Dickson’s ferocious temper.

The woman who hide in a cupboard had been attacked and feared more was to come.

Detective David Cockburn of Scotland praised those women for coming forward

He said, “Dickson terrorised his victims, subjecting them to horrific levels of violence and abuse.

“It is their courage in coming forward that has brought us here today and this sentence is a recognition of the horrific ordeals they experienced.

“It should also serve as a warning to anyone who thinks they will get away with domestic abuse.

“Police Scotland will not tolerate domestic abuse. We will always investigate and we will proactively pursue all avenues to bring abusers to justice.”
