Pep Guardiola’s mother has died at age 82 from coronavirus, Manchester City have confirmed the news on Monday.
“The Manchester City family are devastated to report the death today of Pep’s mother Dolors Sala Carrió in Manresa, Barcelona after contracting Corona Virus. She was 82-years-old” Premier league winners posted on Twitter.
After the news, sports lovers, players send condolence to the Manchester City boss during this hard time when the world is trying to find the vaccine for COPVID-19.
Manchester City’s player Kelvin de Bruyne also joined other players on sending heartfelt message to his boss.
‘Thoughts are with Pep and his family at this time,’ he wrote on Twitter. ‘One team.’
Rio Ferdinand and ex-Barcelona striker Gary Lineker were among the other stars to send their support to the Spaniard.
‘Really sorry to hear that Pep Guardiola’s mother has passed away. Thoughts are with him and his family. So sad,’ Lineker tweeted.

Tottenham and Brighton sent their condolences to Guardiola for his loss shortly after the news was announced.
