Vin Diesel Claims ‘Fast X’ Series Will Say Farewell to Paul Walker‘s Brian O’Conner Via Collider

Although though Fast X has had its ups and downs, it appears that the film will still serve as a nice homage to a cast member from the franchise who died far too young.

In an interview with Total Film Magazine, Vin Diesel discussed how the cast and crew of the latest episode in the Fast Saga are continually reminded of the late Paul Walker and the role he played in the popular franchise, Brian O’Conner.

Walker died in 2013 after being involved in a fatal vehicle accident, startling the globe because he was still in his prime. His presence has persisted in the movies in some shape or another ever since. Here’s what Diesel had to say about it.

As the brand nears its end, it appears that the crew behind it is looking to examine all of its history. Walker’s contributions to both the film series and the lives of his fellow cast members are part of that decades-long history. Fast X may be returning to the franchise’s beginnings in order to bring all story threads full circle, opting for street racing in between the explosive action, heists, and fierce rivalries.

Everyone is working together to cross the finish line as a family, confirming the Fast Saga as one of the most successful film franchises in the last two decades.
