Singer and songwriter Makhadzi celebrates a new music milestone.
Makhadzi received news that her fourth album ‘African Queen’ and EP ‘Pain of Jealousy’ reached gold status.
News24 reported:The plaques were awarded to her by her record label, Open Mic Productions, during an interview on the MetroFm Drive Time show with Tbo Touch.
Alongside a video on Instagram she wrote: “13 plaques I am in tears right now . All thanks to my fans for allways making sure everything I touch turns to platinum.”
The Ghanama musician was surprised to receive her gold plaques and burst into tears while on air.
Makhadzi entered the mainstream with her breakout hit Matorokisi.

According to the label she sold over 40 thousand units and 24 million digital streams.
The 26-year-old whose real name is Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona has become one of Limpopo’s leading artists in the dance music scene.
For the singer, she started as a busker in the early 2010s gaining regional popularity and is known for making Bolobedu house music hits.
Makhadzi has been received three nominations for the DStv Mzansi Viewers Choice Awards’ for favourite music artist, favourite song and favourite personality. She has also bagged three Sama nominations for Sampra Artist of the Year, Music Video of teh Year for Ghanama featuring Prince Benza and Best Collaboration for Zwivhuya featuring Jon Delinger.
