Nadia Nakai is still working through the fallout weeks after her boyfriend Kiernan “AKA” Forbes was fatally shot.
Last month, AKA was fatally shot in front of a well-known Durban eatery on Florida Road. Tebello “Tibz” Motsoane, a well-known novelist and chef, also perished in the incident.
For almost a year, rapper Nadia and AKA were openly dating.
She claimed that the grief of losing her boyfriend was simply unbearable.
“Everyone thinks I’ll just have to get used to it. Simply put, I don’t buy it. It just gets worse every day. I’m not sure how to handle this. Saying it hurts doesn’t express how bad it is.
“I will never be able to fill this hole in my heart. Individuals experience pain and rely on their partner to help them get through their grief. How can I cope with the loss of my partner’s grief? I’ve lost the person who was supposed to be my support system. Oh god, Kiernan, I miss you,” she exclaimed.
AKA and Nadia were madly in love with one another. And were regarded as one of top SA celebrity couple.
