Social media users have weighed in on SAFTAs’ decision to remove former Expresso Morning Show presenter Katlego Maboe from their nomination list.
Katlego was nominated for the Best TV presenter category along with other presenters, but later they remove him from list.
It is understood that the decision of booting him off from nomination list based on previous cheating and abuse scandal which already cost his job.
Katlego Maboe was nominated alongside Devi Sankaree Govender, Dineo Ranaka, Palesa Tembe, Katchie Nzama and Waldimar Pelser.
Followers and fans noticed Katlego absence from that category after SAFTAs updated another list without him.
Some siding with him but other applaud their decision, remind others about assault allegations laid by his former spouse.
One user wrote: “Basically cheating is a big crime in this country. Katlego Maboe was used by SAFTA. End of the story.”
Another fan wrote: “Guys there’s ABUSE charges laid on Katlego its not just about him cheating.”
The former Expresso Morning Show presenter was taken off from duty after a video of him confessing cheating his ex-wife and statement on his Instagram account.
It all started after his ex-spouse exposed him of cheating, domestic abuse and he allegedly gave her STDs.
