As it made an extraordinary success of SETE, rapper K.O determined to up the stakes with a new remix.
Joining three corners of the continent, K.O known as on East Africa’s celeb Diamond Platnumz and West Africa’s trailblazer Oxlade to supply an amazing Afrobeats-inspired song which seems set for world supremacy.
According to reporter, taken from the rapper’s significantly acclaimed album SR3, the authentic model of SETE, presenting South Africa’s Young Stunna and Blxckie, was once launched ultimate September and has had an unparalleled run.
Dominating the Official Charts in South Africa, it spent 20 weeks at quantity 1, topping the airplay chart and severa playlists, and racked up a plethora of accolades, which include being noted through Rolling Stone as one of the “The forty Best Afropop Songs of 2022“.
K.O shared, “I was never big on remixes, but I believed it could be a great chance for us to take SETE to the next level, especially bringing in some amazing acts from the continent.”
Speaking on his choice of collaborators, KO said: “I chose Oxlade and Diamond Platnumz because I wanted to make it organic, and they bring the west and east of Africa together, which is what I had hoped for.”
Many of the rapper’s fans have expressed their feelings towards the remix, saying that SETE has a winning recipe and doesn’t need a remix, while others welcomed it, echoing K.O’s words — the song could still be taken to another level.
