The first episode of season 5 of Living the Dream With Somizi has set the tongues of viewers wagging.
In the episode which premiered on Wednesday, Mhlongo partially addressed the allegations of abuse that were leveled against him by his estranged husband.

Somizi Mhlongo’s award winning reality series, Living the Dream with Somizi is back.
The first episode of season 5 premiered on Wednesday and has set the tongues of viewers wagging on social media.
The episode, which opens with scenes of the media personality and his estranged husband Mohale Motaung in happier times from previous seasons, touches on how life flipped on its head for Somizi when his mother – legendary actor Mary Twala – died in 2020.
Elsewhere in the episode Somizi, his daughter Bahumi and her mother Palesa Madisakwane have a variety of conversations related to Somizi’s marriage to Mohale and how they felt about it.

- Mohale admits to cheating on Somizi
In the first few minutes of the episode, Mohale is heard admitting to cheating on Somizi “at the very beginning” of their relationship in an audio recording that was leaked in 2021. He also alleges that Somizi was abusive towards him.
The recording was allegedly from a conversation between Mohale and TV producer Legend Manqele.
Somizi claimed he was listening to it for the first time.
- A lawyer tells Somizi that Mohale is entitled to 50% of their estate
Attorney Hopewell Sathekge told Somizi that Mohale is entitled to 50% of their estate “by virtue of being married.”
This is after Somizi claimed he did not sign anything, adding that they were only going to sign the following week after their nuptials.
- Mohale was initially Somizi’s fan
According to Somizi’s daughter Bahumi, Mohale was a fan who wanted her father’s autograph at his book launch when they met. She made the revelation while she had lunch with her mother.
During the lunch, Bahumi also said she was hurt at the beginning of the relationship because “my father kinda shut me out.”
- Bahumi talks about feeling “unwanted” by Somizi
In one of her confessionals, Bahumi admitted to feeling unwanted by her father during a part of Somizi’s relationship with her now estranged step-father.
While holding back tears, the recent graduate also said that she felt as though Somizi had brought Mohale into his life in a way that he had not brought her into his life.

The rest of the season promises to set even more tongues wagging and leave viewers shocked.
In the next episodes, fans can look forward to Somizi hosting a divorce party, talking about “the one” he found and even speaking about betrayal in a heart-to-heart conversation.
