DJ Zinhle says she’s “genuine fine” and focus on her work and family after shocking break up with AKA at the end of 2019.
While social media guessing about their ending, Zinhle told Drum magazine that she is busy on her work as well family.
“I am fine, I’m genuinely fine, I just have been overworked” she says with a laugh.
As far as her relationship with her baby daddy is concerned, she explains that they are on civil ground despite what people may think.
“We are all a big happy family that’s the important part” she says. “Kairo, Kiernan, my mom and I everyone is just getting along.”
Their break-up hasn’t broken up their family she tells DRUM, “It doesn’t have to be a romantic relationship to make a family work and that is what we trying to do now” she explains.
Her busy schedule is the raging monster that she is trying to get under control right now and the support of her family and team is how she’s handling everything.
We catch-up with the Umlilo hitmaker after her set at Ultra, Johannesburg where she tells us of a weekend that has been jam-packed, to say the least.
“I mean right now I’m in Johannesburg, I just came from Nelspruit so Kairo is with her grandmother. It’s just that support system that makes it easy to find a balance and people around me who make my life easier. Then whenever I’m around they make sure I’m able to spend time with Kairo” she says.
“It’s easier that I don’t have a nine-to-five and can make time to spend with her whenever.”
Zinhle adds that next two weeks are what fans should watch closely as she is set to release new music
“I’m looking at collaborating with a few jewellers for Era by DJ Zinhle, American Swiss and I are looking at growing the range. Otherwise Jiyane Atelier is still there and musically I’ll be releasing a song in the next two week.”
