Celebs send support messages to Isibaya actress, Zinhle Mabena, following wrongfully arrest for allegedly attempted killing her husband, Robert Ngwenya.
Mabena was arrested on 17 February, morning, then released few hours later after court found insufficient evidences to name her a suspect.
Her attorney, Joshua Larazus of Shapiro&Ledwaba Incorporated, called the arrest was unlawful because the whole situation orchestrated.
“I act on behalf of Zinhle and confirm that she was unlawfully taken into custody yesterday but is now a free woman after the NPA declined to place the matter on roll, because of the preposterous nature of the allegations against our client.
“We also confirm that nothing plausible was provided to the authorities to link our client to any crime including but not limited to murder to attempted murder or any conspiracy.
“All these mischievous allegations ironically comes from her husband who she has recently filed divorce against and against whom our client has obtained (an) interim protection order.”
Zinhle Mabena spent a night after being detained following accusations of attempting killing her husband, which cost the life of his bodyguard.
The National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) on Wednesday confirmed that the Isibaya actress was a free woman after it decided not to place the attempted murder and murder case against her on the roll.
On social media, some female celebs have shown the support to the actress, believing that the action taken against her was wrongfully.
Ayanda Thabethe, Sihle Ndaba and others are among of those female celebs who have shown support to the actress following attempted murder and murder accusations.
