Blac Chyna loses defamation trial against The Kardashians.

A verdict has been reached in the Blac Chyna vs The Kardashians defamation trial.

Kim Kardashian, her mom Kris Jenner and sisters Kylie Jenner and Khloé Kardashian had reason to celebrate at the Met Gala in Manhattan Monday night after a Los Angeles jury found the women owed no damages to Rob Kardashian’s former fiancé Blac Chyna for her $100 million defamation and contract interference lawsuit.

Since 20 April, Chyna – born Angela White – had been involved in a legal battle with Kris Jenner and her daughters, Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner.

Chyna sued the family for $100 million, claiming they defamed her and influenced the cancellation of the reality show Rob & Chyna. Five years after Chyna filed her lawsuit against them, the trial finally took place.

On Monday, a judge at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles ruled that the Kardashian/Jenner family were cleared of all the key questions. As a result, no monetary damages were awarded to Chyna.

All lawyers, as well as Chyna, were present for the ruling. However, Kris, Kim, Khloé and Kylie were notably absent as they were in New York for the Met Gala.

Per People, the Kardashians’ lawyer, Michael Rhodes, said his clients were “happy to have this behind them”.”I think the case was very clear. The jury did a great job. They got it. The family was very pleased and grateful,” Rhodes said.

After court, Chyna’s attorney Lynne Ciani also said, “I’ve never seen in my career before a jury have to go back and deliberate on four questions.”

“The victory is that Chyna did not physically abuse her fiancé, Rob.”

Per E! News, the judge had already issued a directed verdict on 29 April to find Kim not liable with respect to defamation, ruling that there is “no evidence” that Kim took a “responsible part” in publishing the alleged defamatory statements.
