AKA has shown appreciation for his former friend Burna Boy, after winning the World Music Album award at Sunday night’s Grammys ceremony for his project Twice as Tall.
Supa Mega is always positive for the Nigerian artist despite their old feud, he believes he deserve that trophy as he knew that day could happen since long time.
AKA wrote, “That guy has always been who he is today. We were just fortunate to know it before the world.”
AKA and Burna Boy were once friends as they already collaborated in two hits, he is always showing appreciation to him for what he is achieving in Entertainment.
It will be remembered that the feud was hit up back in 2019, when both rappers engaged in bitter words about xenophobic attack erupted that year.
Their beef didn’t sit well as some AKA’s supporters mocked him after he threaten to hit Supa Mega during their spicy exchange.
Months later, the Nigerian rapper didn’t get a chance to visit South Africa as angry fans threaten to boycott event which consist him.
Despite old beef, AKA came in defending the rapper in numerous situations and assure everyone that he is not hating him, as last year he defending him after some SA music supporters shading him for losing it.
“I never hated Burna Boy. All I did was stand up for my country. I think it’s time to move past this narrative. It’s tired. Like I said, even a nomination is a huge achievement,” he said.
