Annie Mthembu discusses how having an abortion made her feel embarrassed to attend church.
Annie Mthembu has been open about having an abortion and her past.
In a recent episode of the Engineering Your Life podcast, Annie discussed her spirituality and revealed that, before she met her husband Kgolo, there was a time when she avoided going to church because she felt ashamed of her history.
The Real Housewives of Durban star admitted having an abortion and that her spouse helped her deal with her shame.
“I was terrified of God before I started seeing him. I had an abortion, which caused me to feel so ashamed that I found it difficult to enter a church without crying. I was unable to face God, wanted to run away from him, and refused to communicate with him, she claimed.
In 2021, Annie and her husband exchanged vows at the luxurious La Paris Estate in the Cape winelands, beginning almost two years of marriage.
Annie continues to brag about her husband in the face of allegations that he is having an affair.
The pair declared their love for one another during their anniversary celebration.
“This is a Divine dream; we’re on an ultralight beam. My light, happy anniversary. May God grant us peace. Bring us peace. Send us lovingly. Always. I love you.
