Bonnie Mbuli speaks out about how LGBTQ community help her to become the woman we see today on the wake of homophobia following critic Zodwa Wabantu receives after her recent comment about gays.

Bonnie took her Twitter to teach people to respect LGBTQ community because they doing great things on society.

“When are your faves going to admit that if it weren’t for the LGBQTI community, they wouldn’t have the voice to express the audacity they are now celebrated for?” she asked.

“When are your faves going to admit that if it weren’t for the LGBQTI community, they wouldn’t have the voice to express the audacity they r now celebrated for? they taught us what freedom feels &tastes like, they articulated for us what it means & how to fight for it!”

The TV presenter also speaks about impact of LGBTQ community in entertainment and how they help her.

“I was raised by gay men and women in this industry, they rallied around me, taught me how to show up no matter what, how to claim space for myself in places where I couldn’t breathe. They mirrored the fierceness I become before I knew it was in me, you know what? They still do!”
