Real Madrid has officially announced Xabi Alonso as their head coach, just few days after final farewell for Carlos Ancelotti.
Xabi Alonso is succeeding Carlo Ancelotti, who is heading to Brazil after being appointed as their head coach.
The CBF confirmed the signing through an official statement, describing Ancelotti as the most successful coach in the world, now leading the most historically successful national team.
Ednaldo Rodrigues, president of the CBF, announced the appointment on Monday, emphasizing Ancelotti’s mission to guide Brazil through the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Ecuador and Paraguay next month, and to remain as coach until the 2026 World Cup.
In a statement filled with excitement and expectation, Rodrigues remarked, “Bringing Carlo Ancelotti to lead Brazil is more than a strategic decision. It sends a message to the world about our determination to reclaim the top spot in international football. Ancelotti is the greatest coach in history, now at the helm of the world’s best national team. Together, we will write new glorious chapters for Brazilian football.”
After years of success in Germany, Xabi is returned back to Real Madrid as Los Blancos expect him to bring back their performance against big teams like Barcelona.
