Jurgen Klopp has criticized FIFA Club World Cup a “Worst ever idea implemented in football,” as tournament is in 16 knock-out stage.

The former Liverpool manager has expressed his criticism with the cup by regarding players workload and recovery time.

The FIFA Club World Cup introduced in 2025, adding 32 teams around the world in one competition, but its reaction is lesser than what was expected by the organization.

The cup is filled with small capacity of fans due to lack of influence and attraction in United States, as majority people are not liking football.

Players especially in Europe have criticized this competition early, saying they will lack enough time to rest as schedule filled with a lot of tournaments.

The idea about this tournament is good because it includes all best teams around the world in one cup, but it lacks timing, a schedule seems complicated to many players due to short time of resting and recovery.

During the competition, stadiums are filled with empty or few supporters, bad weather condition, as both players and managers were complaining for it.

Many football supporters around world call United States as bad spot for football competition due to lack of attraction, as they more concerning about upcoming World Cup, which is set to begin in three countries US inclusive.
