Zanzibar white house’s communication director and spokesman, Charles Hilary has passed away while he was on the way into hospital.

BBC, TBC, Azam and Radio one former presenter, Charles Hilary died shortly on May 11, while he was admitted into Muhimbili hospital, Zanzibar white house confirm the news.

Charles was famous due to his presentation enthusiasm, that captured the attention of many audiences in East Africa while working in BBC Swahili.

Former colleagues have shared how devasting they are following the death news this morning, many reminiscing how lucky they are from learning from him during his time in different broadcasts.
